Dil Bole Hadippa

YRF is the banner which a long time back used to give movies like Chandani, Silsila, DDLJ.....basically good and sober love stories with sensible drama in it. But since last few years, (specially since when they thought of launching Uday Chopra) they have degraded their standard with replacements of white, transparent chiffon saris with small skirts, bikinis and short pants......with moving from nainital, shimla ki vadiya to anytime anywhere in Punjab de khet and pahaadees.....

Thats why when I began to watch this new movie of YRF, I was never excited or expecting it to be above their standards. It is a normal film with regular drama and mixture of ideas of so many hit movies. Following is its quick three point review ........

1. A very pathetic storyline with regular star-cast and cliched punjabi locations and folk music.

(Actually I am done in one point but still..... I am an autopsy lover)

2. Cricket has proved to be good game live, not recorded - specially immediately after IPL and 20 -20 world cup - they have failed to show the drama of the game in the movie

(Even Yuvraaj Singh cannot tell before hitting 6 sixes which Rani does with extraordinary confidence........sheer impossibility)

3. It has Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra.......which are supposed to be for thurkeys....but even both of them disappoint........

Two things I should mention:

One) Rani has performed absolutely fantastic along with a cute Chhota sardaar getup..... but the idea is wasted and

Two) Shahid Kapur has played a smart gamble - if the movie is a hit, another hit on his name and if its a flop, people will not remember it as his movie......

P.S.: This movie is an adaptation of a 2006 English flick 'She's the Man' starring Amanda Bynes

Wanted

“एक बार जो मैंने commitment कर ली उसके बाद तो मैं अपने आप की भी नहीं सुनता”

is the ‘now a lot famous’ dialogue of this movie which is delivered almost three times in the film. Salman Khan has truly proven to be the style icon and people’s inspiration to go to the Gym, with his extravagant panache. The movie never lets you forget that its director is Prabhudeva because of its typical South Indian style camerawork in each frame. It always reminds you of peculiar tollywood / kollywwod, in dance sequences. As a rule of thumb the South Indians, as I believe, love to go to extremes, often show their this hidden talent when it comes to movies in particular. BUT……..but there is Salman Khan……..the superstar who carries (and in the literal sense of the words) the entire film. The movie definitely has power-packed story line with fabulous twist and good music (Anything apart from Anu Malik can be good). In short following are the points with which one can think of watching the movie.

Pros:
1. Salman Khan is the whole-n-soul of the movie.

2. The movie has FANTASHTIK story and ending.

3. It is full of entertainment and it has good music.

Cons:

1. Its director is Prabhudeva whose contribution is zero %.

2. It has Rajaneekanth ishtyle action which resembles to that in Ghajini when it is extreme.

And.....

3. The first half is boring with a lot of standard Dhishum Dhishum sequences while the sidekicks are useless.

P.S. The Heroine of the movie – Ayesha Takia – is included in side-kicks.

All in all a good movie, a not to miss for a movie buff which can be categorized to be a full time entertainer.

P.S.: Wanted is the scene by scene adaptation of a Telugu Movie Pokiri starring Mahesh Babu

Vaada Raha.......I Promise.....

Once again I have sincere points for you guys to think before watching this flick

1. Bobby Deol is shown a Surgeon.

2. Some movies are made in so cliched way that you understand the entire story in first 1 hour max.......this one confirms in fifteen minutes.

3. Who want's to see Bobby Deol romancing Kangana Ranaut alogwith a usual oversmart Child actor who acts well but delivers dialogues as if he is 44 years old.

Please let me know who wants to deal with this hopeless PROMISE.

FOX....(Hindi)

I should not even bother to review this movie but I enjoy it this way........
Following are the points that one should think of before even thinking to watch it even online.......

1. Its director is Deepak Tijori.

2. I have to say that it was a good story BUT.....it has a horribly OLDER star-cast except Sagarika Ghadge (One of the Chak de Girls which people actually remember though there was SRK in the movie) who does nothing in this movie.

AND.........

3. a Hindi movie with an English title of no sense.......

A Three Point Review

1. I have a habit of watching loads and loads of movies and giving away reviews to everyone. Since last few years what I had noticed that it is difficult to review a bad movie rather than a good one. Usually people know how a good movie goes best at. From its actors, from its directors, from its album, from its marketing, and the likes.
BUT....when there is a bad movie then the enthusiastic audience expects to hear, certainly a review, but in very few precised words and to the point description.

2. Therefore, I am starting a section which will review a movie in 3 points. The highlight of this section is that it will only consist movies with BAD reviews. So it will be like a BAD movie itself. You can easily let go the section, still when you expect certain movies to be good you might get an idea about why the movie is not meant for clever audience.

3. Please ask for questions about this section if you have or consider this as the last point to read and not to think of.
